Anthony luensman is well known for his projects that combine a wide range of disciplines. He discovers ways to incorporate sculpture, sound, light, photography, and video into exhibitions and installations. His career spans 28 years with studios in Cincinnati and more recently Tucson, Arizona and currently Santa Fe, New Mexico.

In 2014, Luensman was ready to move in another direction and that year marks his return to painting. A grant from the Joan Mitchell Foundation enabled him to begin anew in the Southwest.

While living in Tucson and Santa Fe, he has been developing a portfolio of paintings and works-on-paper. A multimedia artist at heart, he continues to experiment with materials for use in his paintings.

Luensman is the recipient of numerous grants, commissions, residencies, and awards. His work is in the permanent collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum and the International Contemporary Art Foundation/21c Museum in Louisville, Kentucky. His work is in private collections throughout the United States and Taiwan.
